i've sent the link to this bright eyes song and video to some of you already ... i've been in love with it for months and months. and every now and then i listen to it and it's like the first time i heard it: i get all teary-eyed and choked up. bright eyes isn't my favorite band, but maybe this is my favorite song (and video). ever.
because in spite of everything, i'm still a sucker for love.

Music often moves me very deeply. I don't know why. Maybe it's what Reynolds Price said about himself, that he is overcome when something is perfect. This is a great little song, but not perfect. But together with the video... By the end I felt the tears sliding down my cheeks.
yes, you're right dave. it's the video that MAKES this song so beautiful. everything about it. i thought about showing it to my students and decided they weren't mature enough (on many levels). this song has made me cry on many an occasion ... :)
